If one photo says it all, then this year’s Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion group photo speaks loudly by encapsulating 50 years of historic racing in Monterey.

The traditional photo is a compilation of the best of the best to represent honorees since the inception of historic racing at the famed track in 1974. Following the group photo, the cars were positioned into the stunning 50th Anniversary Exhibition, presented by Motul, and Cars and Cosdel, for this once-in-a-lifetime paddock experience. These cars, that range from the 1927 Bentley Type 35 to the 2023 NASCAR Next Gen Garage 56 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, represent past marques that have been honored at the event and inspired fans and fanatics alike each year during Monterey Car Week.

“Assembling the cars and moving them into position takes planning and patience. But the result makes for a spectacular snapshot of history,” said Barry Toepke, director of heritage events at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. “We all appreciate the time and efforts of our lead photographer Tim Hill in positioning each historic car.”

The assembled cars for the photo are:

  • 1999 BMW V12 LMR
  • 2023 Chevrolet Camaro
  • 1990 Mercedes-Benz C11
