InterContinental The Clement® Monterey is a 208 room luxury hotel overlooking the Monterey Bay, next door to the world-renowned Monterey Bay Aquarium. Situated on the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary, the hotel is in the heart of lively and historic Cannery Row.  Esteemed author John Steinbeck used the location as the setting for his novel of the same name, Cannery Row.

The first new hotel to be built in Monterey since the late 1980s, The Clement® is expected to remain the last waterfront construction, due to city zoning in effect since the mid-1980s.  The hotel has 208 beautifully designed guest rooms.

The C restaurant + bar is overseen by Executive Chef Matt Bolton, whose inspiration derives from the abundance of fresh ingredients, as well as from the bounty of seafood available off the spectacular Pacific Coast, which the C restaurant overlooks. The C serves breakfast and dinner daily, and the menu selections are imaginative and delicious regional specialties. The C’s menu of fresh, seasonal cuisine includes many of the special dishes that have become Bolton’s signature offerings during his stellar culinary career. Bolton is committed to the Monterey Bay Aquarium’s sustainable seafood program, Seafood Watch, as reflected by his carefully chosen menus. The C bar is an inviting and stylish location to enjoy a cocktail and small bites, and features an intimate side patio with market umbrellas and stunning blue water views. A fire table provides a cozy feature for outdoor enjoyment. Sea life is on display 365 days per year at the C, with an array of species on parade, including sea otters, harbor seals, sea lions, dolphins and gray whales. Marine birds and seasonal sightings such as orcas and humpback whales add to the variety.

The hotel provides the perfect location to explore Cannery Row and The Monterey Bay Aquarium. The Monterey Recreation Trail runs behind one of the hotel buildings, in between Cannery Row and Wave Street, and extends for over 18 miles. The trail is on the site of the former Southern Pacific railroad tracks that traversed Cannery Row and extended to the 17-Mile Drive and Pebble Beach, during the famed sardine era.

InterContinental The Clement® Monterey is an ideal location to enjoy the magic of Monterey, for locals and out of town visitors. The C offers complimentary valet parking for guests not staying at the hotel. Live music is featured on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, with highly regarded local artists.
