Henderson brings more than a decade of event management experience to WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca’s legacy event

MONTEREY, Calif. (August 7, 2025) — Weather Tech Raceway Laguna Seca is proud to announce that April Henderson has been named Director of the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion and Monterey Pre-Reunion and Corkscrew Hillclimb, adding on to her existing role as the raceway’s Vice President of Events.

In this role overseeing one of Monterey Car Week’s signature, legacy events, Henderson serves as the public-facing ambassador and spokesperson for the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion and leads the event’s overall planning and execution. She works alongside the esteemed Advisory Council to ensure the event maintains its place as one of the world’s most prestigious motorsport gatherings.

Her day-to-day purview includes event scheduling, program development, stakeholder coordination, staff and volunteer oversight, feature marque management, paddock layout, and much more.

“April is an incredible asset to Laguna Seca and the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion. She brings a depth of experience in events and a true passion for motorsports that will continue to elevate our facility and events,” said Mel Harder, WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca president and general manager. “She understands the importance of legacy and history, but has a clear vision for the future and the knowledge to lead the way.”

Henderson joined WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca in July of 2023 as Director of Operations before being promoted to Vice President of Events earlier this year. With more than 10 years of event management experience, Henderson has previously served as Program and Events Manager at Kahn Media, Senior Marketing Sponsorship Manager for The Quail Lodge Golf Club and Director of Client Engagement for Strategic Business Operations.

Henderson has overseen a successful season of events at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca this summer, including the TireRack.com Monterey SportsCar Championship and Java House Grand Prix of Monterey INDYCAR SERIES event.

“I am incredibly honored to take on this role and couldn’t be more excited to kick off the Pre-Reunion, Corkscrew Hillclimb and Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion,” said Henderson. “With a once-in-a-lifetime tribute to the 75th anniversary of Formula 1, a gathering of legendary IROC cars and drivers and more than 400 period-correct racing masterpieces, this is just the beginning of what we have in store for our guests, racers and community in coming years.”
