This past Monday, October 7, four staff members from WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca represented the world-renowned facility at the 34th Annual MCHA Nick Lombardo Memorial Golf Tournament held at The Club at Pasadera. The event brought together local businesses, including the Inns of Monterey, The Quail Lodge, and the Monterey Regional Airport, for a day of friendly competition in support of the Monterey County Hospitality Association (MCHA).

Aaron Tharpe and Fred Lind kicked it off with the putting contest at 9:30 with Aaron finishing a supposed second before April Henderson and Hayle Leontieff joined to create a fearsome foursome for the rest of the day.

The WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca team showcased their skills with an overall score of -2, netting a total of 69 ultimately finishing 26th out of 36 teams. The highlight of the day came from April Henderson, who nailed a spectacular 40 ft putt on the 12th hole, securing an Eagle on the 433-yard par 5. April's exceptional putt was the talk of the team. She must have been riding high as she was fresh off her wedding weekend and playing at her new husband’s home turf.

The annual tournament was filled with camaraderie, competition, and local business representation including food and drink stations throughout sponsored by Rancho Cielo, Coastal Roots Hospitality, Bernardus, and many more. The day ended with a lovely reception at the club house. Congratulations to all participants and a special nod to the WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca team for bringing their competitive spirit and to Pasadera and MCHA who hosted the event.
