Monterey, CA (Jan. 28, 2026)  — WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca is proud to announce it has been named the recipient of the 2025 IMSA Golden Ticket Award, an honor recognizing excellence among IMSA’s premier Promoter Partners and North America’s top racing venues.

This honor marks the second major event recognition for WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca’s 2025 season, following the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion being named Motorsport Event of the Year at the 2025 International Historic Motoring Awards. Together, the awards underscore the Raceway’s growing momentum and commitment to delivering world-class events across multiple racing disciplines.

The Golden Ticket Award reflects significant progress and achievement across multiple categories critical to event success, including Fan Experience, Family-Friendly Atmosphere, Sponsor Activations, Advertising Campaigns, and Pre-Event and In-Market Promotions. IMSA’s recognition highlights the Raceway’s continued commitment to innovation, collaboration, and delivering memorable race weekends for fans, teams, and partners.

The 2025 IMSA event at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca marked a period of strong momentum, building on recent improvements, while new and enhanced fan-focused initiatives helped create a more engaging and energetic race weekend experience.

The award was formally celebrated at the 2026 season kick-off, the IMSA Twenty-Four Premier at One Daytona, alongside IMSA fans, teams, and industry professionals. “We are honored to receive the IMSA GoldenTicket Award and proud of the partnership we share with IMSA, whose phenomenal racing and world-class event experience sets the standard in SportsCar competition,” said Mel Harder, President and General Manager of WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. “This recognition reflects the hard work of our entire staff and volunteers, our partners, and our community, and motivates us to continue raising the bar for fans and stakeholders alike.”

Looking ahead to 2026, WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca is building on this success with ongoing track and facility improvements planned to enhance fan amenities, competitor experiences, and overall event operations. With marquee events on the calendar — including the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship May 1–3, 2026— the upcoming season is shaping up to be one of the most exciting yet for the legendary California venue.
