Monterey, CA (March 11, 2026) - The Petersen Automotive Museum and WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca announced a new partnership that brings together two well known institutions in the automotive and motorsports industries.
The Petersen Automotive Museum is widely recognized as one of the leading automotive museums in the world. WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca has hosted major racing events on its Monterey road course since 1957. The two organizations will work together to support their shared goals of preserving automotive history, engaging the public, and creating meaningful experiences for enthusiasts and supporters.
The museum will partner with the raceway on select events, including the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion and the NTT INDYCAR SERIES season finale. The collaboration will help expand event reach and impact. The museum will also host member events and provide cars for display. Laguna Seca will also appear in museum organized rallies, tours, and special events.
“While our exhibits and displays are among the best in the world, there is nothing like seeing cars in their element on the road and track,” said Terry L. Karges, Executive Director of the Petersen Automotive Museum. “Working with Laguna Seca is the ideal way to bring our museum to life and engage with the automotive community in a new way.”
WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca will serve as an official destination and partner for the museum. The raceway will host museum vehicles and collaborative events. It will also provide VIP access, exclusive experiences, and special opportunities for museum members. The organizations also plan to collaborate on co-branded merchandise.
“This partnership builds experiences that connect automotive history with performance,” said Mel Harder, President and General Manager of WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. “We look forward to working with the Petersen team as we continue our work to restore and revitalize this historic facility.”
