Capturing five decades of celebrated marques and honorees is no small feat, but artist Bill Patterson has risen to the occasion by crafting a stunning poster for the 2024 Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion on August 14-17 at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.

Patterson's artwork commemorates 29 featured marques, each representing a pivotal celebration since the inception of this historic racing event in 1974, which has set the benchmark for vintage racing worldwide. Each illustration signifies which year(s) the brand was honored.

Having been associated with WeatherTech Raceway for nearly two decades, Patterson expressed both enthusiasm and a sense of responsibility when approached about this significant project. "At first, I thought, ‘sure,’” he recalled. “But as I dove deeper into the details and the high expectations for precision, I realized this is going to be quite the undertaking! It’s always an honor to create the official poster, but this one feels particularly meaningful given my long-standing appreciation for the races.”

The artwork will be available as a collectible 24” x 36” poster, a favorite among attendees and collectors. Additionally, the design will be featured on select merchandise in the Official Raceway Store. Throughout the Rolex Reunion weekend, Patterson will be in the paddock signing posters, engaging with attendees, and performing live art demonstrations. This is truly a celebration of not just motorsports or the event, but also the personal interaction among drivers, legendary guests and visitors who attend to see history come alive before their eyes on the iconic race circuit.

The Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion features more than 400 authentic and historic race cars competing in 13 race groups that include the popular high-revving historic Formula One cars and rumbling original Trans-Am cars. The excitement and entertainment will extend beyond the race paddock and into the Hagerty Marketplace where visitors will find locally sourced food options, vendors, a kids’ zone and the popular go-karts for families to test their mettle.

Advance prices for single and multi-day tickets are available before the gate price takes effect Aug. 12. There is also a very limited supply of credentials for the upscale Legends Club that overlooks all the racing action and comes with delicious catering by the owners of local favorites Baja Cantina and Turn 12.
