With approximately 30 Course Marshals on staff, these individuals are responsible for monitoring on-track activities, responding to incidents, and maintaining raceway safety protocols. Seeking to enhance safety, consistency, and professionalism, WeatherTech Raceway adopted USAC’s training system, a move recommended by other leading motorsports venues. The program offers official certification, with each participant receiving a credentialed hard card and the Raceway itself earning certification.

Some of Laguna Seca’s Course Marshals have dedicated upwards of 20 years to their craft, a testament to their passion for motorsports and commitment to safety. USAC’s seasoned training staff—whose experience includes working at Indianapolis Motor Speedway and collaborating with top sanctioning bodies such as IMSA and INDYCAR—was highly impressed with the skill level and engagement of the Raceway’s Marshals.
