American Muscle Takes On the Corkscrew

The roar of American muscle returns to Monterey as the Trans Am Series, one of the most storied championships in motorsports, headlines the 2026 Mission Foods Racing America @ Laguna Seca, featuring Trans AM and SVRA. Since its debut in 1966, Trans-Am has thrilled fans with its mix of raw power, fierce rivalries, and legendary machinery.

Today, the series continues that legacy with a diverse field of competitors — from production-based classes to the iconic 850+ horsepower Trans Am class. Experience the thunder of Mustangs, Camaros, and Challengers battling head-to-head against European powerhouses like Audi and Mercedes-AMG on the breathtaking curves of WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.

Adding to the excitement, the weekend will feature a full grid of Historic Trans Am cars, honoring the original machines and drivers that built the series’ enduring legacy. It’s a celebration of past and present, uniting generations of racing fans through the unmistakable sound and spectacle of pure American performance.
